Grouse Mountain

Hey there! My mom, dad, and I are in Canada right now. We are having a lot of fun!

We started our trip in Vancouver, which is a really beautiful city. You can go from forest and nature to downtown Vancouver in a couple minutes. The skyline is modern and there is a lot of water. We explored it by bike. The weather was great and we could wear our summer clothes. We took a gondola up the Grouse Mountain and had a great view. Also, we visited the Capilano Suspension Bridge.

Then we drove to Summerland, which is close to Kelowna. We met the Krogmänner and Flo showed us Kelowna, where he spent his exchange year. We drove back to our Hotel located right next to the Okanagan Lake. There we rented a powerboat and did tubing. It was sooo much fun! We were fast and it was wet (obviously). The next day the Krogmänner surprisingly stayed another night. So we rented a Jetski and and we did stand-up paddling. That was a lot of fun, too!

Capilano

After Summerland we drove to the Emerald Lake. We stayed in a Lodge, which wasn't as great as we thought it would be. The Lake was beautiful. so green-ish blue.

Our next stop was Banff. On our way there we stopped at the Takakaw Falls. Huge!
Banff is a lovely town and we went hiking and saw a lot of Canada's nature.

Lake Louise was on our way to Jasper. A nice blue lake but so many tourists! I didn't like that. You cannot get the feeling of the nature when there are hundreds of people taking pictures.

Jasper was pretty small and we went rafting. It was fun and a wave swallowed me. Hahaha. We decided then that we were not going to drive to Clear Water. We cancelled our night there and drove to Kelowna instead. It was nice and warm again. The past stops had been really cold and rainy. In Kelowna we kind of relaxed and swam. It was nice and not as exhausting as hiking all day.

From there we drove to Whistler, where we are right now. Today we did zip lining (mom and I). It was amazing!

Our next stop is Vancouver Island, then Vancouver City, and then Germany.

I am excited to be at home again, since I could only sleep in my own bed for about 2 weeks ;).
